The Artist's Story

I grew up in North Yorkshire, but have also lived in Glasgow, Newcastle, London and Surrey. I spent many of my childhood holidays in Pembrokeshire. Within these places I have learned to appreciate the solace found in breath-taking UK landscapes and through my love of painting and drawing I have created many beautiful images. My art has been exhibited at Galleries in Surrey, London and Europe.  

My art explores rugged UK landscapes, with a focus on coastal environments which celebrate the play of light and how this changes the feel of the natural terrain. My images are designed to evoke the feeling we get when a view of nature captures our imagination, providing a sense of both awe and solace.

I studied at Leeds Art College and I am a member of Surrey Artist Open Studios (SAOS).
